根据广州市市委、市政府关于“深入推进广州新型城市化发展，强化全球传播功能，举办高端节庆活动”的要求，市外办与市体育局拟于今年11月9日（周六）、10日（周日）在天河体育中心联合举办广州地区第八届中外友人运动会。
此活动旨在进一步发挥中外友人运动会的资源优势和交流平台作用，把中外友人运动会打造成为我市的一项品牌赛事和一张城市体育名片，不断提升和传播城市形象和城市文化，为我市打造国际体育名城和新型城市化发展服务；同时，进一步丰富在穗外籍人士的文体生活，加强市民和外籍人士的沟通，向中外友人提供一个增进了解、加深友谊和促进交流的良好平台。
The 8th Guangzhou Friendship Games is to be held in 9 and 10
November (to be confirmed) of 2013 by the Guangzhou Municipal
Foreign Affairs Office. As part of the effort to meet the requirement of
the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government that “The
new urbanization of Guangzhou should be advanced and its global
reach extended by hosting events of international influence”, the
Friendship Games will serve as a platform for those living in Guangzhou, foreign or Chinese, to deepen friendship and better understand each
other. This is also a grand event which meant to present the
harmonious co-existence and common prosperity shared by Guangzhou
citizens as well as foreigners in Guangzhou, and is to be evolved into a brand sports event to burnish the business card of Guangzhou.
届时将进行羽毛球、乒乓球、网球、五人篮球、五人足球、保龄球等6个项目的比赛，请各院系做好相关宣传及组织报名工作。
Competitive events include badminton, table Tennis, tennis, basketball,
football and bowling.
一、参赛对象：我校在读全日制外国留学生（持有外国护照）
二、报名时间：2013年9月17日—25日
三、报名方式：
（一）报名者需持有外国护照及在中国合法居留的有效签证；
（二）符合条件并有意报名的同学，请自行下载并填写相应报名表，需附上护照信息页及有效签证页的复印件；
（三）报名参加团体项目（如五人足球、五人篮球、羽毛球双打、网球双打）的同学请自行组团，以团队名义报名；
（四）将报名材料交到所在院系，由院系辅导员老师进行审核盖章及汇总，于2013年9月26日前交到学生处外国留学生管理办公室（行政楼320室），电子版发到fsmjnu@163.com。
Application Details:
1. The applicant must satisfy following conditions：
1) Undergraduate students of Jinan University;
2) Foreign students with legal residential permit and valid visa.
2. Period of application:
During 17 to 25 September of 2013
3. Application methods:
1) Downloading application form of event applicant wish to apply for and filling in the form;
2) Copying the information page and visa page of passport;
3) Submitting the required application documents to the department applicant belongs to;
4) For team sport events (such as Football, Basketball, Badminton
doubles, Tennis doubles), applicants need to select and confirm
teammates by themselves.
5) Departments gather and approve application of students with seal-s, and submit them to Foreign Students Management Office (Room
320, Administration Building) by 26 September of 2013.
