关于开展2013-2014学年广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金
评审工作的通知Information about Guangdong Government Outstanding International Students Scholarship
为进一步推进我省高等教育国际化，加快发展我省来华留学工作，我省从2013年起以省政府名义设立广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金。根据《广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金管理暂行办法》的有关规定和要求，近日省教育厅和省财政厅将具体名额及评审要求下发至各高校，由于时间紧迫，请全体留学生把握好截止时间及时申请，各学院要做好学生的申请及审核工作。现将有关事项通知如下：
In order to promote the internalization of Guangdong High Education, advancing the development of overseas students’ management, the government decided to set up scholarship for international students studying in universities of Guangdong. The relevant requirements of application are hereby notified as follows.
一、分配名额（详见附件1）
二、奖励标准：不分等级，每生每学年奖励人民币10000元。
Amount : ￥10000 per academic year.
三、评选对象：本科二年级以上（接受正式学历教育课程一年或以上，本校2013级及以上的学生）、品学兼优、上一学年必修课程无挂科、没有违反中国法律法规和违反校规校纪行为纪录。
四、评选条件：
（一）拥有外国国籍，持有有效外国护照并符合在华留学的相关要求；
（二）具有相应的汉语水平并提供相关证明（部分直接用英语授课的专业可适当放宽条件）；
（三）年龄在40周岁以下；
（四）在校期间已享受或正在享受中国政府（及）其他各类奖学金的外国留学生不再享受此项奖励（不含华人学生奖学金、华人华侨奖学金、社会类奖学金获得者）。
Eligibility for application
The applicant must satisfy following conditions：
1．Full-time undergraduate students of Jinan University（not includes freshman）who are aged under 40-year-old.
2. International students with foreign passports and valid visa.
3. Have not awarded any other government scholarship during this academic year.
4. Passed in all compulsory subjects and no disciplinary records in the last academic year.
5. Mastering good level of Chinese language skills and are able to provide relevant statement (except for students studying in English-taught programs).
五、申请程序：
（一）符合条件的学生，采取自主申报和院系推荐的方式，填写《广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金申请表》（详见附件2），附上2013-2014学年成绩单（学校教务处盖章）、在学证明、护照复印件（个人信息及有效签证页）、个人陈述（约500-1000字，电子打印版非手写版，学习主要课程及效果评价：包括语言学习、专业课程、教学实习、校园文化活动、志愿者服务等，如必要请附成绩、论文、校内外表现情况等）、汉语能力证明、感言一篇（要求见备注2），向所在学院提交申请（纸质版及电子版均需提交）；
（二）截止日期：
个人陈述：2014年7月21日前
其它申请材料：2014年9月5日前
备注：
1. 《申请表》要求用word电子版格式完成后打印出来，请不要提交手写版本。
2. 感言要求：
（1）文章需为原创，能反映进入大学以来的成长历程及心态变化，从刚进入校园的感受，通过与老师、同学的相处，到慢慢适应新环境，参加校园文化活动、公益志愿者活动、校内外比赛、获得奖项、奖学金情况，想对母校、老师、同学、师弟师妹说的话等等。要求主题鲜明、内容积极向上、语言生动自然。
（2）每篇不少于2000字，需要附上作者学院、姓名、学号、生源地、联系电话等信息。
（3）每篇文中需穿插5张照片，可以为作者的生活照、参加活动的照片、与师长及同学的较有意义或有趣的照片等等。
（4）文后需有100-200字左右的师长寄语。
（三）院系受理学生的申请材料后，对学生的实际情况进行审核，并将结果在学院内公示，公示无异议后按学校分配的上报名额推荐候选人，于2014年9月9日前将学生《申请表》、成绩单及学院排好序的推荐人《汇总表》（详见附件3）等纸质版材料，由学院负责人签字盖章后报学生处外国留学生管理办公室（行政楼320室，谭思思，电话020-85222317），并将《申请表》电子版（要求与纸质版填写内容一致，每一项都必须填写，包括第15项学习主要课程及效果评价）、个人陈述电子版及学生感言电子版发到指定邮箱（邮箱地址联系谭思思）。珠海校区四个学院、深圳旅游学院的材料请通过邮寄方式报送学生处审核；
（四）学校对申请材料进行最终审核，确定推荐名单并进行公示；
（五）学校将推荐获奖学生以多于分配名额的10%报送省教育厅和省财厅，排序较后的学生存在无法获奖的可能，最终获奖学生名单由省教育厅和省财厅审核后才可确定。
The necessary documents for application include:
1. Application Form of Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship (Please download the form from this page);
2. Undergraduate transcript with grades of 2013-2014 academic year (from Academic Affairs Office);
3. Personal statement, about 500-1000 words (Self-assessment for school performance, course learning, campus activities involvement, volunteer experiences, internship, level of Chinese, etc.);
4. School attendance certificate (from Academic Affairs Office);
5. Copy of passport (including pages of personal information and valid visa);
6. Statement of Chinese Language Level if possible.
7. An essay originally created by applicant, no less than 2000 words and 5 photos. The essay could be involved feelings or experiences of living in China, learning in JNU, participating campus activities, making new friends or future study plan, etc.
Deadline:Please hand in personal statement before July 21st 2014, and the above documents to your counselor assistant that is responsible for the scholarship before September 5th, overdue is inadmissible.
Ps: Application form, personal statement and essay are required to be filled in with electronic format, after finishing please print them out. Handwriting form will be not allowed to submit.
Notice: Student Affairs Office will submit recommendation list of candidates (the number will be more than 10% of applicants who are allowed to be awarded) to Department of Education and Department of Finance of Guangdong Province. The Awarding List of scholarship will be ultimately confirmed by above departments.
说明：
1. 已获得该奖学金的申请人将不再具备申请教育部和国务院侨办港澳台侨及华人学生各项奖学金的资格；
2. 请学院根据学生提交的个人陈述填写好推荐学生申请表中“第15项学习主要课程及效果评价”部分，并按学生的个人成绩及综合表现进行排序填写学院汇总表；
4. 申请学生如经批准获奖，学校将根据其学号所对应的银行账号统一发放奖学金。
附件：1. 学院推荐名额分配
（1）留学生人数5人以下的学院，请各推荐1-2名学生：文学院、国际关系学院、理工学院、信息科学技术学院、药学院、人文学院、翻译学院、电气信息学院、深圳旅游学院
（2）留学生人数6-20人的学院，请各推荐3名学生: 外国语学院、新闻与传播学院、医学院、国际商学院
(3) 留学生人数21-50人的学院，请各推荐7名学生：经济学院、管理学院
（4）留学生人数200人以上的学院，请各推荐45名学生：国际学院、华文学院
